Changes

I haven't blogged as much recently, mostly because I have had a lot of stuff going on in my life and just haven't felt like talking about it quite yet.  The first and probably most significant event occurred a couple months ago when my girlfriend and I broke up.  We had been together for a long time, but things just didn't feel right anymore.  So I had to move out, find a new place to live and give up our bassett hound to her, mostly b/c I bought the dog for her for christmas so she says it's her dog or whatever........I miss him a lot.
 
So, I decided to go buy myself a new dog, she is awesome.  She is 6 weeks old and is a 1/2 american bulldog, 1/2 english bulldog. I wanted a male, so i could name him Turk, after my favorite tv show, Scrubs.  But she was adorable and i had to have her.  So i named her Miss Turk.  She is mostly white, with some light spots on her ears and side.  I will try to post some pics on here if i can figure it out.....Which reminds me, i bought a new phone last month, a blackberry curve.  This thing is awesome, totallly happy with it and it has been a real treat to have all my work emails forwarded to my phone instead of having to geto on a computer everytime to check them.  Also helps with the fantasy football leagues I am in since they are both online as well.....
 
Notre Dame football season is getting ready to get started, which is AWESOME.  I love football season, both college and NFL.  I was able to get tickets to the first game of the year against San Diego St, which is this saturday.  Really looking forward to it, since my friend who is going with me has never been before.  It's awesome to go there and see all the sites, like Touchdown Jesus.......Also went to the new Colts stadium, Lucas Oil, a couple weeks ago for a preseason.  It is reallly nice.  I can't remember where I heard it, but I think I was told that Indy is in the running now to host a Super Bowl, or has been chosen to host a Super Bowl.....I am not sure and I'm tooo lazy to look it up now. 
 
As far as poker goes, I haven't played a lot recently.  With the moving out, finding new digs, and work, I haven't found the time.  I have also picked up a guitar and started learning to play and that is super addicting, so I just have  a lot on my plate right now.  I bought an electric, b/c I heard that they can be easier to learn to play, b/c they have nylong strings, instead of steel like on an acoustic.  I have learned some chords and the beginning of "wish you were here" by pink floyd.  It's so much fun to play and i feel like i am getting better everyday i pick it up.
 
 I played so little poker last month, I was bumped down to silver status in the AP Fame thingy.  Which is stupid and pathetic on my part...so this month i have rededicated myself to grinding some hands, for those of you who remember, my goal was to get my BR to 1k, like a loooooooonnggggg time ago.  Well, I am about halfway there with the BR just sitting around $500......I am super pleased with myself, b/c I have done this by grinding only .25/.50 and when there is a game running thats not on a BBJ table .50/1.00 LHE.   In the past, I would just up and play out of my BR, but I have been good and think I have finally taught myself some self-discipline.  I will be seeing you all at the tables soon enuf......
